#GCWO: The Great Cybertronian Write Off (part 1)

There was an idea... to bring together a group of remarkable people. To see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to. To photograph the toys that we never could.

Which is a very pretentious and grandiose way of saying that a group of us decided to band together and share a bunch of pics and some mini-reviews of classic Generation 1 Transformers toys!

Yes, if like us you're currently stuck indoors and willing to do new and unusual things for entertainment then hopefully this will provide a small shred of relief. I've partnered up with both TFSquareOne and Toybox Soapbox to form the "Great Cybertronian Write Off", and to between us publish a short retrospective on a different G1 toy every day. They're all being shared on our respective social media accounts (using the hashtag #GCWO), but below you can see the first week's collected in one place. Well, kind of - as in true grandiose crossover style you'll have to check out the other chaps' blogs in order to complete the set, so to speak!

We already have designs on completing the 1984 and 1985 line-ups, and who knows where we'll go from there, so watch this space! The design and style of the formatting might already be obvious to you, but if not then check out TFSquareOne's first post to see what it's all about! Huge thank you to online busybody and all-round Photoshop genius, tikgnat for providing his valuable time and attention on the design front here.

So, without further ado - here's week one!

Day 1: Optimus Prime (c/o TFSquareOne)

Day 2: Megatron (c/o Toybox Soapbox)

Day 3: Jazz

Day 4: Soundwave (c/o TFSquareOne)

Day 5: Prowl (c/o Toybox Soapbox)

Day 6: Rumble & Frenzy

Day 7: Wheeljack (c/o TFSquareOne)

Check back for more next week!

I'll publish a new entry each week, but in the meantime be sure to catch up with the action on social media each day by following the #GCWO hashtag.
